Rowan is promoting two stories this Spring/Summer - Coastal and Kyoto.

Coastal colours are faded denims through to driftwood and pebble shades. The knitwear is relaxed, simple, easy to wear and inspired by textures and traditional guernseys. Different generations are used to give a family feel to this contemporary story.

Kyoto
colours are strong vibrant and contrasting. The Knitwear is patterned with flowers and shapes are inspired by all things Japanese.

COASTAL
is a collection of 18 designs for both men and women. The story features designs by Martin Storey, Sarah Hatton, Lisa Richardson, Marie Wallin, Amy Herzog, Gemma Atkinson, Heather Dixon, Carlo Volopi and Cirilia Rose.

Kyoto is a collection of 18 designs by our In house and freelance designers
using a selection of Rowan’s core summer yarn.

Design Inspiration
...
Inspired by Japanese gardens, including there architecture and landscaping, flowers, plants and the wildlife within. Also Origami and traditional Japanese dress. The garments are a varied mix or fitted and loose shapes.

Knitting Techniques used
...
A mix of easy knits through to more complex pieces, stocking and garter stitch, cables, lace, fairisle & intarsia plus crochet.
