Secure Online Ordering
Introduction
The
English Yarns web site has a secure online ordering
system. The system is based on the familiar Shopping Cart
and Checkout concept, and uses the latest secuity software
to ensure your information stays safe.
To order online, simply add items to the Shopping Cart and then
go to the Checkout. You are then asked for your delivery and payment
details.
What
are your Shipping Charges?
We always try to send your ordered items the most economical
and secure way depending on the weight and value of the parcel,
and any special delivery instructions you may have. The cost depends
on the delivery location and the class (eg. airmail
or surface mail). If the total weight of your order lies outside
the weight or insurance range for a particular class, we will split
the items into more than one package.
How
do I add items to my Shopping Cart?
- Navigate to the Online Store section that you
are interested in, for example, Rowan
Fine Tweed.
- Enter the quantity you want to buy in the text
box next to an item.
- Add the item to the Shopping by selecting the
add-to-cart button next to the item.
How
do I see what is in my Shopping Cart?
Select the [ Shopping Cart ] link at any time. A new screen
is shown detailing the following:
- the description of each item you have added
to the cart
- the quantity of the item
- the cost of each item
- the total cost of the items, including tax,
if applicable.
How do
I delete items from my Shopping Cart?
Go to the Shopping Cart (see above). Select the Remove
checkbox alongside the item you want to delete from your cart.Then
select the Update button.
How do
I change the quantity for an item in my Shopping Cart?
Go to the Shopping Cart (see above). Enter the number of items in
the Quantity box alongside the item you
want to modify. Then select the Update
button.
How do
I go to the Checkout?
Select the [ Checkout ] link when you have finished adding
items to your Shopping Cart. You will then be asked a few details
that we need to be able to complete the order.
What
payment methods do you accept?
Payment may be made by credit card (Visa, Visa Electron, or Mastercard),
debit cards (Maestro, Solo and Delta). You may send your credit/debit
card information via phone, fax, snail mail or SECURELY over the
Internet.
 
 
Is my
information secure?
Yes. English Yarns uses a secure payment provider that is
100% PCI DSS compliant, and as such meets all current banking security
standards - now a requirement for all UK businesses accepting credit
card payments and debit card payments. All checkout and
card entry pages are SSL encrypted.
