Lenpur™ Linen is a beautiful new yarn with a wonderful drape making it perfect for the summer season. Lenpur™ is an innovative new fibre made using wood pulp which gives a smooth, soft, self mercerized finish. This makes it the ideal yarn for this collection of essential summer pieces by Sarah Hatton, from slinky summer tops, shrugs and cropped cardigans to elegant tailored waistcoat and cardigans. Lenpur™ Linen comes in 12 vibrant shades from hot reds and yellows to cool blues and greys. Lenpur is a new textile fibre from a renewable resource: cellulose carefully selected from the branches of special trees. The remarkable properties of wood provide textile materials made from Lenpur with extraordinary properties. Lenpur is truly the best “vegetable fibre produced by man”. The fibres retain the wood’s natural properties. The characteristics of Lenpur are owed to the specific types of timber used for its production. The main differences in Lenpur compared to other cellulose fibres is its softness, its its deodorant properties, and its adsorption characteristics (due to its morphology). When mixed with other fibres, Lenpur is in “mechanical synergy” with them.
