The stable of designers used this season has been expanded
to include internationally renowned Antoni and Alison, Clare
Tough and also Kid Acne, each being exciting additions to
an already strong collection of designers. We have retained
the excellent styling and photographic flair of Emma Freemantle,
stylist and Gisella Toress, photographer who we introduced
last season. Joey Toller has continued to contribute to the
magazine by photographing Urban Legends along side a young
fresh stylist named Harris Elliott.
The shoot
concentrated around one location in the South of England and
one in central London with 3 stories:

EVIE
& BIANCA
L. Daykin & S. Smith

| Story
1 - Eco-Romantic - a
very strong, traditional knitwear story for both men and women,
taking its influences from the British landscape. Yarns concentrate
on natural fibres and appearances, tweeds and plaids with
accents of shine, shapes are traditional with a quirky twist
in areas for that element of surprise, using asymmetry and
unusual fastenings. Photographed by Gisella Toress and styled
by Emma Freemantle. Earthy shades have been used in 4ply
Soft, Kidsilk
Haze, Yorkshire
Tweed, Plaid,
Big Wool
Tuft, Wool
Cotton, Kid
Classic, Chunky
Print, Lurex
Shimmer, Felted
Tweed.

Story
2 - Expressive Elegance - a story which
captivates the essence of luxury, it has a feel of the past
with a modern twist, whilst also being set in surroundings
to reflect this feeling. Colours are intensely desirable;
shapes are fitted and classic, hinting at vintage influences
but with a modern twist therefore keeping the collection in
line with today's fashion influences. Felting, micro textures
and detailing are strong; fastenings, buttons and trims become
statements of individuality. Photographed by Gisella Toress
and styled by Emma Freemantle. Featuring Kidsilk
Haze, Felted
Tweed, Yorkshire
Tweed, 4ply
Soft, Kid
Classic and Wool
Cotton.

Story
3 - Urban Legends - a fresh look at knitwear,
this story is edgy, unexpected and irreverent. Ideas clash and
collide with vibrant and exciting effect. Catwalk names meet
graphic designers in an explosion of energy. Yarns are bright
and chunky, thin and hairy, matt and metallic; anything goes
when mixing colours and textures. Photographed by Joey Toller
and styled by Harris Elliott. Featuring Big
Wool and Big
Wool Fusion, Ribbon
Twist, Yorkshire
Tweed, Felted
Tweed, Kid
Silk Haze, 4ply
Soft, Kid
Classic, Plaid,

Our
staff have had many years experience of working with Rowan
yarns. Rowan designs never date but sometimes the colours
and qualities that were once the original designs, have to
be substituted; we can advise on the nearest shades.
We stock
the entire Rowan handknitting range. Please see our
Rowan stock list. |
