Rowan is promoting two stories to reflect these major trends for the Spring 2015 DAY DREAM and RELIC.
The ESSENTIALS collection of the magazine takes a new direction this season by concentrating on another major trend - denim, whilst still promoting the key shapes of the season.

DAY DREAM is a collection of soft feminine knits inspired by a delicate romantic mood.

RELIC is a wonderfully carefree collection of casual and beautiful knitwear. Inspired by the past, with colours and textures found within ancient cultures and civilisations.

Summer 2015 sees the ESSENTIALS collection of the magazine as the showcase for the key shapes of the season but translated into simple easy to wear styles that will compliment the season’s ESSENTIAL looks.

DAY DREAM is a collection of feminine knits inspired by a delicate romantic mood.
• This story is both modern and quirky in a fresh light hearted way and has a slight 1950’s retro feel.
• Delicate rib stitches, tiny cabling, simple lace, knit mixes and romantic pretty crochet all come together to help create a collection of women’s casual wear with a youthful spirit.
• A palette of candy-coated and ice cream pastels with a strong emphasis on sky blue, powder pink and soft lilac.
• Shape has a focus on the waist with nipped in shapes achieved through fashioning and integral shaping or with folds and draping against the body silhouette.
• Embellishment is key to this collection, floral decoration and dimensional embellishment - matt crochet motifs on top of fine and sheer knits.
• Extra waist definition can be achieved with the addition of a belt.

RELIC is a carefree collection of casual and beautiful women’s and mens knitwear.
• Inspired by fragments of the past, the womenswear knits are both delicate and rustic with openwork lace and crochet details providing the main focus.
• Simple stripes, patterning and tribal influences worked in colour blends add a bohemian spirit to this easy to wear handcrafted collection.
• The menswear knits concentrate on blended striping and small patterning worked in rustic, textured yarns and yarn mixes.
• The palette of earthy natural hues with highlights of brighter greens, sienas and reds.
• Embellishments are important with knitted straps, decorative fringing and hand stitching adding a homespun charm.
