The Rowan Yarns Autumn/Winter 2002/2003 magazine features over 40 designs from Kaffe Fasset, Kim Hargreaves, Sarah Dallas, Sasha Kagan, Jean Moss, Muir & Osborne, Sharon Peake, Brandon Mably, Carol Meldrum, and Leah Sutton.

The magazine features most of the current Rowan yarn range, including the new yarn Cork, and an expanded 4 Ply Soft selection. The 4 Ply Soft range has been increased from 8 to 16 shades.

Click to see Wool Cotton A new yarn for the Autumn/Winter season is featured, Cork, available in 12 shades. It is a bend of 95% extra fine merino wool, and 5% nylon. It is 110 metres (120 yards) per 50g ball.

Other featured yarns are Wool Cotton, All Seasons Cotton, Kidsilk haze, Kid Classic, Lurex Shimmer, Polar, Magpie Aran, Summer Tweed, Felted Tweed, Rowanspun 4 Ply, Rowanspun DK, Aran and Chunky.

Story 1 - Lady Jane - With its roaring open fires and fine tartan furnishings, this cosy lodge in the remote Scottish Highlands was a perfect setting for this story. Featuring work from many designers, such as striped sweater sweater in jewel like colours from Kaffe Fasset, a delicate lace sweater from Sarah Dallas, a floral tweed jacket from Muir and Osborne, a cabled cardigan with shadow pattern from Jean Moss, and a cardigan with charming flowers from Sasha Kagan.

Story 2 - The Clash -
A collection of contemporary designs featuring the work of Carol Meldrum and Leah Sutton, two young, up-and-coming designers. The garments are bold and modern, embellished with a mix of embroidery, buttons and ribbons.

Story 3 - River Wild -
With a chill in the air, garments are worn in layers in natural tones of slate with charcoal grey, moss with sage green, and bran with winter white. This story contains a textured coat, oversized cabled sweater, and sweaters with subtle stripes, both vertical and horizontal.

Story 4 - Sharp Contrast -
Photographed in the studio in black & white, the designs are a mix of smart and sexy, with garments that are befitting the office - a slick sweater with frilled edgings in 4 Ply Soft, and a Wool Cotton sweater with contrasting trim in All Seasons Cotton. For evening glamour, an elegant cutaway vest in 4 Ply Soft, and a slinky capped sleeved top in Lurex Shimmer are also included.

Story 5- Winter's Tale-
This story was inspired by one of this season's key looks, picture knits. There is a snowflake jacket from Sarah Dallas, a reindeer jacket from Sharon Peake, and a fir tree jacket from Kim Hargreaves. Photographed in around a snow-covered log cabin.
