The retro looks of previous seasons continue with a hint of the 1950’s and a loud buzz of the 1960’s.

• Colours are bright, energetic, sun drenched and full of life, balanced only by natural blushing skin tones which fade into airy greens and hazy yellows.
• This heralds a return to the perfect neat cardigan, fitted top and pretty decorative knits for women. The knitted polo makes a strong comeback for men but with the new direction for longer button plackets. Both looks can be plain, striped or strongly patterned.
Relaxed summer knits are dominated by the slash and boat neck which work equally well on cropped or elongated tunic knits. The midriff is on show this season and is reflected in the new silhouettes with neat cropped shapes updating the classic crew neck coupled with elbow or three quarter length sleeves.
•Simple mesh stitches are still a strong trend, mainly shown in knits with wide T shaped sleeves and deep armholes.
• Lacy and crochet stitches also add to this largely fun and slightly eccentric season.

GLORIOUS
• Is inspired by flowers of all shapes and sizes, digitally
rendered or just simply placed are at the heart of this playful, fun and supremely feminine story.
• Strawberry red, poppy coral, hot cyclamen, aurora yellow, fresh green and exotic orange are balanced by the cool influences of white, grey and sugary pastels.
• Any combination of colour and floral patterning goes; the result is an eclectic mix of colour and pattern creating a collection of knits which are full of delight and optimism.
• Brings together simple and ornate florals, pretty
lace and crochet stitches and motifs.
• These pieces have a retro flavour of the 1950’s and 1960’s.
• Neat little knits in multicoloured yarns and floral jacquards come together perfectly with the season’s full or flippy skirts.
• Sporty influences are also key with bandeau tops, halter necks
and cropped styles adding to the overall playful feel.

IKON
• …..is inspired by technology and the promise of goods things to come. Pixelated digital patterning of all sizes contrast against the bold graphics of the Modernist age, creating a collection of clean, sophisticated but fun women’s and men’s knits.
• Colour blocking is still strong for summer 2013 as well as optical art – clear and bright with an important role for white and black.
• Silhouettes are elegant with long, lean shapes with graphic details.
• The retro influence of the 1960’s inspires this ‘New Mod’ look. Geometric inserts, stripes, contrast trims update simple summer styles with an emphasis on youthful fun and easy to wear pieces.
• The Modernist colourings of white and black with toned down op-art brights are balanced with a palette of indigos, mineral greys and greens contrasting with cool neutrals
• Classic stripes are important but are updated with yarn contrasts, different gauges or unexpected colour variations.
• The garment silhouette for women can be cropped through to tunic length with clean, modern, slim fitting styles for men. The boat and slash necklines are key as well as the pretty Peter Pan collar.
